Sophie Swinscoe

I’m Sophie, the founder of Beauty by Sophie Training Academy, an award-winning beauty educator in Nottingham with over 22 years of experience in the beauty industry.

 

My journey started back in 2003 when I trained as a beautician while juggling two jobs and working 70+ hours a week. I began as a mobile beautician, then worked from home, and eventually achieved my dream of running my own successful salon. Having truly “been there and done it all,” I understand the challenges beauty professionals face when building a client base, managing a business, and trying to grow in such a competitive industry.

 

In 2013, I followed my passion for teaching and moved into beauty education, combining my years of salon experience with a desire to help others succeed. Since then, I’ve trained and mentored hundreds of students across the Midlands, passing on my knowledge, skills, and proven strategies to help them thrive.

 

My expertise lies in nails, lashes, and brows, and my focus is delivering accredited beauty courses in Nottingham and the Midlands that set my students up for long-term success. Whether you’re just starting out in beauty or looking to add new treatments, my mission is to give you the confidence, qualifications, and support to grow your business.

 

When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my two beautiful children, my partner, and our miniature poodle, Daisy.
