Whilst these facials share some similarities as non-invasive treatments, they offer unique and different benefits. We know how challenging it can be to determine which treatment will work best for you so we thought we'd answer the most common question we get regarding these two facials.
Key Benefits for Hydrafacial:
Combines exfoliation, extraction and hydration into a multi-step facial treatment. Using a unique device it removes dirt, oils and dead skin cells whilst simultaneously infusing it with nourishing serums.
HydraFacial is suitable for all skin types, and can be tailored to address an individual’s specific skin concern. For example, hyperpigmentation, acne, fine lines or dehydration.
Key benefits of Microdermabrasion:
Using a handheld device it removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells via a stream of fine crystals which buffs away impurities revealing smoother and brighter skin underneath.
There are several key differences between the two:
1. Technology: HydraFacial uses a handset that pushes a hydrating serum across the skin, while SkinBase Microdermabrasion uses exfoliating crystals to physically exfoliate the skin.
2. Intensity: HydraFacial is a gentler treatment than microdermabrasion. HydraFacial’s suction technology is less intense than the physical exfoliation of SkinBase Microdermabrasion.
3. Age: Hydrafacial is a newer treatment and has taken the beauty industry by storm. Due to its advanced technology this treatment covers you for almost all of your skin concerns.
