Why I’ve started booking coffee dates… just for me

This week I did something that felt like such a treat — I booked myself a coffee date for one.
It was just me, my notepad, and my laptop. No outside distractions, no one asking me for anything, no pinging notifications… just quiet focus time. And honestly? It was one of the most constructive and refreshing things I’ve done in a long time.
Here’s what I found so powerful about it:
• Clarity: Sitting down with no interruptions gave me the headspace to actually think about my goals and map them out.
• Productivity: Without the usual distractions, I ticked off tasks that I’d been putting off for weeks.
• Creativity: Ideas just started flowing — sometimes your best thoughts come when you step out of your usual environment.
• Calm: It felt so good to slow down, sip a coffee, and know I was investing in myself and my business at the same time.
I know how easy it is to get caught up in the day-to-day whirlwind — clients, treatments, social media, family, and everything in between. But when you block out that little bit of quality time just for you, it can change everything.
That’s why I really recommend you book a solo coffee date into your diary at least once a month. Think of it as a meeting with yourself — a chance to check in, plan ahead, or simply breathe and reset.
Trust me, your business (and your mindset) will thank you for it.
So, when are you going to book yours?
Love,
Sophie
